Gettin my White German Shepherd!!
So the next rescue I went to ended up screwing me over again. The I had talked to was nice but her partner is a jerk. She did nearly the same exact stuff the other one pulled on me.
I had gone to see Walter the pup the other day but Lance wasn't able to go with me cuz he was a butt and spent time with him family from AZ... even though he said he would do this with me. So I went and I wasn't exactly thrilled but I also wasn't turned off by the pup. I was nervous at the fact the pup was barking at me and was shy. I didn't want to deal with another Dingo thats afraid of everything.
He was real cute and had fluffy ears and longer coat. Nothing like the other dogs I had been wanting. So I left and emailed the lady in charge of him I guess and told her my feelings on Walter. I asked if I could foster him for a week or two. Most shelters are fine with this but I guess not her. One it makes sure you WANT to adopt the dog and two it HELPS out the rescue by allowing more dogs to come in! NOPE she didn't offer this to me nor did she really make it available for us to meet halfway.
You see her location is nearly an hour away from mine and thanks not even with MAJOR RUSH HOUR traffic. It would probably be two hours. Not only that I had also had my weekend fully booked with photography the WA Emerald Classic Horse Show.... I said I'd do it like a month or two ago! So I couldn't really do anything over the weekend. I tried several times since I got off early on some days but every single time it was either NO or during rush hour that was out of the question! I had already been driving 2 round trip to the Horse Show!
So today we planned, because she told me after 12pm was fine, to meet Walter today. I brought Lance along with me to the Horse Show and then we were to go from there straight over to the gals house located in North Bend (we were in Auburn). So not only did we just drive an hour to get there we'd have to drive another 30+mins to get to North Bend. But I was going to do it! I PLANNED IT! I ask for the gals address since I forgot to print out the map. Glad I didn't! And I get back an email telling me I can't come after 12pm but I had to come before that! WTF?! This person knew I was busy all weekend with this horse show!
I then pretty much said SCREW YOU, SCREW IT and told the other gal that was much nicer that I was frustrated YET AGAIN with how rescues are run and that I was going to go else where. This made me very stressful and again brought up the fact the stupid B*** that gave away my Jasper.
As of right now I hate rescues (NOT the dogs) and how judgmental they are and corrupt. They've shown me they're only in it for themselves and not the interest in the dogs. Instead of caring about potential owners they care about who will take the dog the quickest!
Anyways good ending. I now have a male White German Shepherd reserved for meh! Kerstone Kennels - Highly Recommend!! Been wanting a WGS for a LOOOONG time and even made a deposit about a year or two ago. I cannot wait and I'm totally excited.
